Isaiah 1–39 is unavailable, but you can change that!

In this volume, Walter Brueggemann writes on Isaiah 1–39, which many scholars believe had a single author, Isaiah, of the eighth century BCE, who wrote in the context of the Assyrian empire between 742 and 701.

United Nations, where the nations can come in concert, drawn by a shared offer of well-being, where war will be unnecessary and no longer an available practice of the nations (All the Kingdoms of the Earth, 199–203). The nations will want to come to Jerusalem because in Jerusalem Yahweh is fully present as the source of all life for the world. In Jerusalem, moreover, is the torah of Yahweh (here rendered as “instruction”) that will make available to the nations Israel’s Yahweh-given secret for peace.
